The village of Grimaldi, which has been subdivided into Grimaldi Superiore and Grimaldi Inferiore, lies dreamily directly on the French-Italian border. Apart from the Torre Grimaldi, you can also tour the caves of Balzi Rossi as well as the Museo Preistorico dei Balzi Rossi in Grimaldi Inferiore, the lower part of the village. You can enjoy a swim in the very clear water on the open rocky beach of Balzi Rossi against a background of prehistoric, reddish shimmering rocks.
